Clacky

Clacky is a Mac menu-bar app that gives every mouse and trackpad click (and scroll notch) a tactile sound plus a visible ripple under your cursor. It’s aimed at people who make tutorials, product demos, or streams and want viewers to instantly see and hear what the user is doing. It also includes a built-in recorder so your click visuals and sounds show up in the exported video.

Key things you can do:

• Click ripples on screen: a customizable ripple that appears live under the cursor and shows up in recordings.
• Satisfying sounds for input: separate press and release sounds, plus scroll ticks and sounds for trackpad taps.
• Sound library and variations: multiple built-in click sounds in families, with controls to adjust tone and behavior.
• Recorder built in: capture your screen (whole screen or a selected area) so the ripple and click sounds are included in the same output (MOV, MP4, GIF).
• Clip making: turn a recording into a 9:16 vertical version that follows your clicks, with an automatically copied caption.
• Optional camera bubble: add your camera as a movable bubble that’s recorded live with your clicks (hover controls don’t appear in the video).

What makes it worth choosing is the pairing: you don’t have to set up a separate click visualizer, then figure out how to sync audio. It also uses a one-time payment model (no subscription, no account) and is designed to collect no usage data.
